Benjamin Franklin

The Darwin Cycle

The story of the damage done to our species by ignoring and suppressing Darwin’s love, moral, and action-oriented completion for his theory of evolution is one of the most astounding and alarming for our time.

Formation of The Benjamin Franklin Press was motivated by our recognition of the responsibility of the American and global publishing industry to make up for this neglect with an urgently needed global republication and distribution of the following remarkable series of books.

Bankrolling Evolution: Money, Science, Politics, and the Fate of Planet Earth is the first of five books we are publishing to, as quickly as possible, reach a global readership.

Bankrolling Evolution establishes the importance of what happened to Darwin within the context of American and world history, the escalating danger to the future of our species and our planet, and what has become the global battle for survival of progressive versus regressive money, politics, science, education, and religion. Now in print via Amazon, Powells, Borders, etc.

Darwin in Love, second in the cycle, is the tale of the love life -- and new science and story of evolution -- of the real man behind the grim icon of “survival of the fittest.” Written to engage a teen-age as well as adult readership, it tells of Darwin’s own teen years.  Marriage and family life.   His many charming, often very funny stories of the sex and love life of animals.  And the radical and hopeful new advance for evolution theory supported by hundreds of modern studies that lies behind the 95 times Darwin wrote of love in The Descent of Man.  For publication September 2006.

Darwin’s Unfolding Revolution, third in the cycle, in a pre-publication readership, has been described by internationally known scientists and educators as:  "Corrects an oversight in the history of science which has swerved the modern world off its track.” . “Provides the key to the reintegration of the sciences: physical, biological, and social.” “Can be the spark to jumpstart the social sciences to a new golden age of relevance to popular culture.” . “In this work Loye has brought his unique erudition to an enormous and critical task, and carried it off with genius." “An immensely important book with an engaging and easy style that will recommend it to readers of all backgrounds and interests."  For publication December 2006.

The Derailing of Species, fourth in the cycle, is the explosive story of how and why Darwin’s theory of “the higher agencies” involved in human evolution was buried -- derailing our species from the progressive path into the future.  Naming names and pulling no punches, for the first time The Derailing of Species reveals the hidden size and decisive importance of the century-long battle by progressive scientists against the socially, economically, politically, and scientifically entrenched paradigm of “survival of the fittest” and “selfishness above all.”   For publication during 2007.

Telling the New Story, fifth in the cycle, will tell of how the new progressive Darwinian science and story of evolution can be taught by teachers at all levels of education, told by parents, and built into the media. The author is currently working with educators and parents to build new units for educational curricula K-12 through graduate studies. For publication during 2007.

All five books are by psychologist, educator, and evolutionary systems scientist David Loye, founder of The Darwin Project (www.thedarwinproject.com), and author of the award-winning The Healing of a Nation and many other books for a scientific and general readership.
